The invention provides a method, computer system, and computer program for enhancing user-generated content (UGC) with supporting evidence. It involves receiving a draft post from a user device, then searching a database for relevant resources to the UGC. The draft post is transformed to include both the UGC and the identified resources, which serve as evidence supporting the content.
With the rise of the internet, users can easily create and share content globally via social networking services (SNS), bypassing traditional publishers. While this democratizes information sharing, it also increases the spread of misinformation due to the lack of mandatory fact-checking. The solution aims to address this by automatically attaching verified evidence to user posts.
The system indexes information consumed by users for potential future use as evidence. Upon detecting a draft SNS post, it performs morphological analysis to extract keywords and queries a database for relevant resources. Users can select from proposed URLs as evidence, which are then automatically attached to the post before publication.
Readers of SNS posts can configure their applications to recognize unreliable sources by defining specific URLs as low quality. The system will then exclude these URLs from being displayed as evidence in posts. This feature ensures that only credible information supports user-generated content.
The described system operates within a computing environment that includes various components such as computers, networks, and databases. The program can be executed across different devices and cloud services, illustrating its versatility and adaptability in different technological contexts.
