The invention introduces a system and method for mapping and analyzing embodied emotions in brand imagery using both natural and artificial intelligence. It employs a structured palette of twelve core psychological archetypes, each linked to four personas, and aligns them with fourteen human motivational needs. This approach enables companies to convert emotions into visual elements and vice versa, facilitating the creation of brands that resonate emotionally with target audiences. By integrating a database of brand metrics with a predictive engine, the system aids in strategic brand positioning and management.
Jungian archetypes, symbolic representations of human traits, are central to this system. These archetypes, such as the warrior or the sage, influence human behavior and decision-making. They have been widely used for personality assessments like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and DiSC® Personal Assessment. In marketing, archetypes help brands connect instinctively with consumers by triggering predictable emotional responses. However, existing methods lack an analytical approach to predict human reactions or "embodied emotions" in brand tracking.
The system begins with an archetypal palette that translates emotions into visuals based on desired archetypes and tendencies. This palette is used to design brands that align with targeted emotions. A global database of brand metrics combined with a predictive engine allows users to strategically position, design, evolve, and manage brands effectively. The system also includes a translation process for converting results from other personality assessment models into this framework.
By quantitatively mapping brand imagery to an archetypal palette through intensity values of embodied emotions, companies can leverage high-performing employee profiles to motivate desired actions in marketing materials. This process ensures that the emotional appeal of a brand remains consistent even when key personnel are not physically present.
The Archetypal Palette comprises twelve fundamental archetypes associated with specific motivational needs or embodied emotions. For example, the Sage is linked to wisdom, while the Magician is tied to amazement. Each archetype has four variations, leading to a total of sixty embodied emotions across three categories: Existence needs (certainty vs. uncertainty), Relatedness needs (significance vs. love), and Growth needs (growth vs. contribution). This visual representation helps map human emotional needs to each archetype.
